It's my official 2nd day of being an Utter Wonder Hall of Famer. Things are still going exceedingly well in the Hall of Famer department. I had no idea what it was like to be a Hall of Famer, I mean, it's like all of a sudden my life was converted to HD when it used to be just normal regular TV. You don't really know what you're missing until you get that HD TV, and then you scorn the people who are still living with the technology of the 60s and 70s.
That's what it's like being me. I highly recommend you all become Hall of Famers so that we can start getting together on the 2nd Wednesday of the month for a luncheon. (That's a good word, isn't it? Luncheon. Not just a sandwich and a drink, it's a luncheon, because special people don't just eat lunch. They attend luncheons. One of you will have to be the guest speaker, though, because I'm going to be busy trying to eat my lunch. Luncheon. Sorry, still not used to all this. I like the sweater I'm wearing today, but it's itchy. I don't know why, I guess the material is made out of fiberglass or something. I remember going to The Aunt(r)'s house and she had this big chairs outdoors that would really make your legs itch, especially if you were a kid all sweaty from running around her back yard. Apparently the itchy was because they were fiberglass. I don't blame her for having itchy garden furniture, but what the hell was the manufacturer thinking? Didn't they test them wearing shorts? Was my health ever in danger? Can these chairs be stored in the attic to provide insulation? (Okay, I'm pretty sure she doesn't have the chairs any more, but it paints a funny picture, doesn't it?)
So this sweater is itchy but it was really cheap. I got it on the 70% off rack. But it wasn't the "70% Off all Deadly/Itchy Sweaters" rack. At least not that I noticed. Labels: clothing, complaints, nothingness posted by Jody Permalink | 3 comments Wednesday, March 07, 2007
I'm ambivalent about Wednesdays today. Normally I think they are okay, but today, I'm not so sure. Maybe if it was warmer, or if Wednesday was payday. I may have to move Wednesday slightly further down on the scale.
Then again, it is the halfway point in the workweek, so it has that going for it. (See, I'm not going to say hump day because all the adolescents in the audience will start giggling and I will be forced to give you the stink-eye. You don't want that.) Wednesday: good or bad?
