Okay. You’ve waited long enough. Here is a micro-excerpt from the novel.

“Batman has no skills. None. Well, he’s smart, and he looks good in a utility belt. Robin is even lower on the food chain. He’s like Batman’s admin assistant.”

See? Now you want to buy a copy of it, and it isn’t even out yet!

I can’t believe I’m about to hit 25,000 words! Holy crap! I actually wrote 25,000 words in the past 16 days! It seems to be only 71 pages in my Word file, but I’m not going to worry about that now. I am just going to go back, write the 300 words I have left to hit 25,000 and go get some shut-eye to celebrate!

Ahhh, is there anything better than a Friday night, with the whole weekend ahead of you, and a short week on the other side of it? I am a happy girl.

No lunchtime writing today. Trying to get some work done so I can leave early. It’s Friday and it’s 60 degrees outside. I should leave right now, actually.

Holy cow! Well, that was a good session. 2313 words, bringing the grand total up to 24278. I could try to push myself for the 25k, but it would probably be worse than usual. As it is, I found myself describing how painfully boring it is to work in a bookstore (which I’ve never done, so maybe it’s quite exciting) in much more detail than should be included in a novel.

I’m going to cozy up in bed with a good trashy magazine. As Jefferson Airplane said so eloquently, “Feed your head.”
