I unloaded the kid and sent the husband away (okay, but that’s how I’m wording it, even if he’s the one with plans) so I can work in peace. No TV, even if that means I’m missing some of my favorite shows. That’s life in the writing world.

I’m at 22639, which sounds pretty good, but is a bit shy of where I should be. Today is the halfway point. So I should have 25000 by the end of the night. Except there is no way in heck I can pull off another 2400 words tonight. Not unless Mothra were to show up and start attacking the protagonist in her living room.

I hear Pierce Brosnan won People’s Sexiest Man Alive award again. Interesting choice. I could give a couple of other names that I think rate higher, and I’m saying this as a girl who her freshman year of college decorated her wall with Remington Steele pictures. (Actually, I had a “wall of Steel” which had Christopher Reeve (man of steel) and Pierce pictures.)

He’s still good looking, but is he really the sexiest man alive? I suppose someone could put me in a room with him and give me a chance to find out.

Only 3 more hours until work is done. GOOD. I want to work on the novel. Well, really, I want to take a bubble bath, eat a gourmet meal, and watch a good movie. But given that I don’t think any of that will happen, I’ll settle for getting eyestrain and Carpel Tunnel.

Oh my goodness! My favorite Osmond album from my long-ago youth is now available again! I’ve added it to my basket at Amazon. The Plan is, I hope, a good album. It was when I owned it [mumble] years ago.

I only did about 900 words yesterday. Not my goal. On the other hand, I got a really good full night’s sleep, in case anyone was wondering. I’m ready to face the day. I know I can make up all these dribs and drabs on the weekend, so I’m not worried.

Off to have some Cocoa Krispies…
