I’m up, I’m up. It’s raining. Pooh. Everyone here is getting sick, so this could be a fun weekend. In order to avoid working on the novel I have been cleaning the house. This could be the cleanest the house has been since we moved in by the end of the month.

Chapter 1 is done! It might actually become a prologue during the post-November editing cycle. But it’s [checking] 2979 words making up 9 pages.
Prior to this, the longest any “novel” of mine has been is about 20 pages. THe problem is that I would go back and edit and second guess and just start to hate what I’d written. With this book, I try to stop in the middle of a sentence so I can force myself to start writing again, if only to finish the sentence. And I don’t read any further back than 2 pages when starting up. It’s working for me so far.
Is everyone having a good day? TGIF and stuff. I hit the 2000 word mark that I was supposed to finish on the 1st, meaning that now I only have the 2000 to write for today. That’s about 5-6 pages of stuff, double-sided.
I don’t yet know if the story is any good, but at least it’s interesting to write. That’s all I can tell you for now.
p.s. I promised my co-worker I wouldn’t tell everyone that we got stopped for speeding on the way to get lunch. So shhhh.
