Turkey Day

I’m not cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year, for which I am thankful. I’ll probably be in charge of bringing a few items, including a pumpkin pie. But that’s it for me. This book, Thanksgiving 101

looks like something I’m going to need to buy, though. I don’t want to be afraid to screw up a turkey. And it would happen, let me just tell you that.)

We’re Number 6!

My fantasy football team is in 6th place. That’s good. Luckily, the league goes by win-loss before total points, because if it were total points I’d be close to the basement. There are some teams I will never catch up with…I’m over 200 total points behind them. This makes me sad. But not that sad.

In other news, Mom’s Chili 1, Me 0. Nuff said.

Another Monday Holiday WIth Trash Pickup

I’ve talked about this before here. Please forgive me if this is a re-hash of the Columbus day entry. My trash is picked up on Mondays. Whenever it’s a holiday, we have to check to see if it’s a trash pickup day or not. Often people just assume every holiday is a trash holiday too. So what happens is the trash guys fly around their routes, with nothing to pick up. Therefore, both my recycling AND my trash were picked up before 7am. This never happens. One, sure, but both?

Ecotarium A+

PERFECT day to hit the Ecotarium. Most of the kids there today were in Junior’s age range too. Funny thing, we discovered a small building that actually had some animals in it. I don’t ever remember going in there before, so maybe it’s new. They have done a LOT of work on the habitat displays. It was interesting to see all the improvements since our last visit.

The rain held off until after we left, which was helpful. Thank you weather!
