Hey, Kenny Loggins!

Kenny Loggins, if you are reading this, please explain to me why the full Leap Of Faith CD isn’t available for download from any of my normal sources (iTunes, MusicMatch, Walmart.com). I have the case for it but lost the CD (or it was in the CD case that was stolen) and I am WILLING to pay to replace it but the whole CD isn’t available for download! What the hell is up with that?

Ya, I’m angry. So I have to pay more to buy it at the store than I would to download it? I already have the case and the liner notes, thank you. I just need to burn a cd. Sheesh. So you know what? I’ll just go without. And maybe you’ll figure out how to get the whole danged CD up on the download sites. *sigh*

How On Earth Did He Do That?

When I got home last night, Junior had a new boo-boo to show me. Now I wouldn’t have thought this possible, but then again, maybe I don’t like potato chips as much as he does. The boy…bit his own finger while eating chips, enough to make it bleed and maybe remove a little piece of skin. I cannot fathom doing this, but he did. So then we have to make sure it’s VERY clean and has some good ointment on it because I’m guessing a human bite is just asking for trouble.

I think they put the chips away after that.

10,000 Steps a Day

Okay, I’m going to do it. I decided on my New Year’s Resolution, and it only took me two months. Maybe I can declare March 1st as Dumpy New Year. The Chinese have their own Calendar, maybe I can have one too!

So I read an article on the web about how if you take 10,000 steps a day, you’ll be healthier and lose weight. As someone who just cannot join a gym and actually use it, this sounds like it’s right up my alley. When I used to belong to a gym I would set the treadmill for twenty minutes but then switch to the calories burned view. After twenty minutes I often stayed on trying to round up the calorie numbers. And then do the “well, I can do another 10 calories” or whatever. Time didn’t work for me – but mileage and calories burned did.

So I ordered a pedometer from Amazon – doing research into the ones recommended by other people, etc., and I decided on the Omron HJ112 Premium. I’ll let you know what I think.

Putting the "Accu" in Accuweather

Okay, 700 different weather sources tell me that Leominster is going to get 11-15 inches of snow in the next 24 hours. (See: Weather.com)

I went to Accuweather on my phone (to their wireless site, pda.accuweather.com) and punched in the Zip code for Leominster (01453).

Their report?
Today – Snow early, then more snow late in the day, accumulating a coating to an inch.
Tuesday – Snow with little or no accumulation in the morning.

So am I missing something? And which one do you trust?
