More Saddam Friday Five

Mister Crunchy gives us another list of Saddam answering the Friday Five questions. Love it. I like picturing Saddam in a Power Yoga class.

Oh, and for some reason (maybe the facial hair?) that reminds me. There’s a guy from this town, and if you’re from here you probably know who I mean but I’m not going to go into too many details because I strive to be a really nice person. Just in case he reads this website. Anyway, he was flitting around outside of Shaws this morning as I was pushing my cart (wait, wasn’t I just going in for 1/2 and 1/2 and bread?) and I was overcome with the urge to say to him “Wow, way to push the fashion bar up a notch by continuing to sport muttonchops after all these years.”

Spam ‘n Eggs

Started the day with reading the following in a spam email (I normally don’t read them, I use MailWasher, but I don’t yet have to wash my business email, as I only get one or two a day (so far).

Here’s what made my day: “Stop being furious, check out this website and the Rx’s we have. The best prices on the internet. Next day delivery for Valium.”

I think they are so right. I need to stop being furious. It’s just not getting me anywhere. I’m not sure how they knew I was so furious all the time, I mean, I wasn’t even aware of it until they pointed it out. But now I’m going to take their advice and simply stop being furious. And consider Valium.

No One Screams for Ice Cream

Usually by now the ice cream stands are starting to open for the summer, and we all flock for our first taste of Moose Track for the season. Except nobody wants to buy ice cream when the wind chill makes it feel like 28 degrees. Which is what today was like. Is this April? No really? Is it?

Went to a farm stand today to see if they were making maple syrup, and it was a little late by the time we got there. This place has a lot of animals, but it was too danged cold to stay outside and enjoy them. I actually keep forgetting that this isn’t normal. I’m sure this is screwing up all the farms around here – I hope there will be strawberries when there are supposed to be strawberries, that’s all I can say.
