What I’m Listening To

I’ve had a CD in my cart at Amazon for about two months now. Just waiting for the right moment to order it. Well today we were killing a little time at the mall and I went into one of the music stores, you know, the kind where you have to sell a limb to buy something, just to browse their cheapo bins, and I happened to wander back into the “good” section. I decided to see if they had the CD…and they did….and it was the same price as on Amazon. This never happens. You all know that. So I had to buy it because it was a sign from God, right?

ELO – Definitive Collection. And it is definitive. Man, I am loving this 2-cd set, and it was less than $18!!

Oh, and someone asked what book it is that I’m reading (I mentioned it in the novel blog). It’s called The Dive From Clausen’s Pier by Ann Packer.

Piglet’s Big Movie

So cute! I would have preferred to see something maybe for adults, but this was a perfectly wonderful little movie for Junior. We had to run out and buy the Carly Simon soundtrack right away, too.

I will tell you I’m not looking forward to seeing the third Rugrats movie, which is due out this summer. First of all, it’s a cross-over between the Wild Thornberries and the Rugrats shows, but then they are destroying all that is right with the Rugrats world by having Spike speak. And his voice is Bruce Willis. It’s going to be Look Who’s Talking 3. I’m not happy.

Anyone with a Google Connection?

Google keeps advertising a position that I’m interested in…I just wish I knew someone who worked there. I know I could suck up to the blogger.com folks who just became Google employees, but they probably don’t have much pull in the HR department as of yet. So if you work there, or know someone who does, let me know, okay?

Added shortly after: Oh man, just read an article that they get 1500 resumes a DAY. I realize they posted for the one I want, but still. I’ll just be sitting quietly over here looking for a DIFFERENT company to apply to.

What’s On TV?

I have no idea what’s on TV these days. If you had told me 5 years ago that I would be saying that, I would have laughed heartily in your face and then had you committed. But here we are and I only watch the Disney Channel(s), Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. That’s it. I record “grown-up shows” on the TiVo and never watch them. What happened to me?

I know, that stuff rots your brain. So do most websites. I still visit them.
