Thursday

You know what’s interesting? Trying to make sure you enunciate so a child knows that you’re saying TH instead of F when he’s sitting behind you in the car. They sound very similar, quite frankly. This morning’s word was “North.” He was trying to tell me that one of the little girls he goes to daycare with lives in North Dakota. Now normally, that would be strange enough, but he’s at the age where he’s sounding out words to figure out what the key letters are. In this case, to him, the TH is the dominant sound (as opposed to the N).

I think we got that straightened out just in time to talk about how someone in North Dakota wouldn’t drive all the way to Massachusetts on a daily basis.

Frankenjody

I have this huge thing growing on the side of my neck. It’s a cross between a pimple and a frankenstein bolt. When I have the webcam on today, it will NOT be aimed at that side of my head.

I thought when I got to be an adult I wouldn’t have these problems any more. I clean my face. I eat healthier than I did as a teen (still not perfectly, but for breakfast I had a bowl of Special K Red Berries with a banana sliced in, and 1% milk, because I just can’t drop below 1% to skim. I’ve gone as low as I’m going to go.) Should I go back to the poptart diet? I think not. H, I’ve lost another 3-4 pounds in the past few weeks. At this rate I’ll hit my target weight in a few more years!
