I finally found time to update the Big DumpTruck. Whew. I have had this fear for ages that writing this Blog every day would mess up my updating. Well, not that I updated all that often anyway but you know what I mean. There’s no burning need, because of the immediacy of this blog. And with Blogger Pro, I’m supposed to be able to send an email to the system and it will automatically update the page. How awesome is that? I have a cellphone that handles SMS messaging, so I could even send an update from, say, Jiffy Lube.

Speaking of which, I was waiting at the lights across the street from the one in town, and I saw one of the Lubers (is that what they want to be called?) use an umbrella to escort a guy over to the garage in the rain. I wonder how that guy felt, having another guy hold an umbrella for him. Of course, it was held a manly 30 feet over his head, and the luber didn’t get very close to him. But still…

I guess the storms took a different route. Trust me, I’m happy about it.

Looks like we’re in for an ugly afternoon-evening. I wish I wasn’t so terrified of bad storms. But see, I don’t want to see everything I have and everyone I love flattened by a twister. Not that they are saying there will BE one, but the weather advisory says “Amateur radio operators and other spotters, please keep an eye on this storm” so what ELSE could they be talking about?

Crap, this stinks because I was going to go take some photos this afternoon for a thing I’m working on. I don’t really want an ominous sky in the background or rain splatters on the lense.

The bank I currently use doesn’t consider Saturday a business day (hey! They are open! It’s a business day!) so the check I deposited Friday evening STILL isn’t in my account. Is this typical? I’m ticked because I need to go to the grocery store and the bank says I have negative available dollars until the check clears. I thought for SURE it would clear by today! Oh well, I think this Friday direct deposit will be in place and all will be right with the world.

This past weekend was SPECTACULAR. Low 80’s, no humidity, nice breeze. I was outside for 75% of my waking hours the ENTIRE weekend. Today is a beaut as well, but I had no excuse to stay home. In fact, for all I know, there’s been a nuclear holocaust and I’m safe here in the building where I’m working. Not that it’s particularly bunker-like, but still.
