2.79 per gallon

We took a road trip up in NH today, headed for one place until we realized it was too far away for the time of day we left.

So we sort of landed in Tilton, where there are some outlet stores. And yes, I did get a couple of things that I’ll be able to wear even if I lose a size. They are just slightly too small..I could probably wear them but I think 5 more pounds and they’ll be great.

While wandering lost for a while, we saw a whole bunch of gas stations with 2.79 gas. Holy crap! That’s 20 cents less a gallon less than we paid in Leominster yesterday! Lucky Tilton residents!

  1. I paid $3.35 in NYC last weekend. I suspect that $2.79 is not going to last. BJs is up to almost $3.00 now. Shell on Lancaster St has 6 cents off Tuesdays, save some if you can get in there early enough. I noticed the usually when the Rt 13 and Rt 12 folks are not that much cheaper than brand name stations that means supplies are tight. That causes the off-market these guys get gas from to sometimes even go higher than brand names. I find United gas run real well in my cars, used them for a dozen years and never had a problem.

  2. But it was 2.79 in that area of NH while it was 2.99 in Leominster. And it didn’t seem like a gimic. I just was shocked that this one little corner of NE had thay low a price.

  3. I was in West Virginia last Thursday and Friday; the very most southern part of the state. Their gas prices are $2.89 per gallon and higher. We live in southwest Virginia, which is about an hour from where we were in WV. Our prices average $2.68 per gallon.

  4. Hey, you pay almost $3 a gallon for gas?

I live close to at least 3 refineries … so why is it I pay $3.49, on a *good* day??

  5. But remember: At the end of the day, Tilton residents have to live in NH. I don’t care how cheap the gas is; I’m not down with that.
