Hank and Rene both had basketball games tonight - with travel time there was overlap, so Tony went to Hank's amd I went to Rene's.

Hank's was a tournament game - and they kept score! (He is in a developmental league and they don't keep score during the regular season). They won their game (insert score). They play again at noon today.

Rene is in the diocesan playoffs. They were undefeated for the season, and now they have won two rounds of playoff games! Tonight's game was a nailbiter - lots of parents commenting on how stressful.. Rene's reaction... "Well be glad you weren't the one who had to play in it!" Tonight's game all the girls looked nervous and they did not play well first half. Score was 10 to 4 at halftime, with Rene's team losing. But their coach must have said something to them during the half and they came out ready to go! Second half they were on fire and won 12 to 10 - the other team did not score a point the whole second half! All but two of our points were scored by one girl... with the final two winning points from free throw shots. Rene played a decent game and took a few shots, and they were so close, but didn't make it in - one actually jumped out of the basket, as they sometimes do!
After the game they had a pizza party at the coach's house. The girls are SOO excited!
THey play semi-finals on Sunday, and if they win they wll be in the championship game! GO PANTHERS :)
