The kids love this picture of Clyde. The kids were excited to take him to his first vet appointment. He weighs 10 pounds at 9 months, so they said it's time to cut the kitty chow!! They also told his he's genetically prone to gum disease and we have to brush his teeth every day?! The vet said Clyde has a really high tolerance for being handled... hmm, I wonder why? Each kid has their own style of holding him..REne's is the funniest - she cradles him like a baby!

Gramma and Grampa, if there is any doubt the kids appreciated your gift of a Wii this Christmas - take a look at how happy they are. They're doing Dance Dance Revolution, a game where you have to step on a dance pad following the pattern you see on the screen. We're so glad we had the basement finished as it's a great place for Wii. And those heated floors are such a luxury during this cold winter!! Second pic is Hank as a Penguin player at the Heinz History and Sports Museum.

I'm sure everybody has been waiting for this to happen! The retaining wall leaned further and further every year. This fall I began to worry that it would fall over, but never managed to have it fixed. Well, after the first big freeze-thaw cycle, it shifted so much it was about to knock over a water meter box on the side of the house. So we got some contractors to come remove the wall for safety now; they'll replace it in the spring.
