Where Art Mojo’s?

Okay locals, what the heck happened to Mojo’s BBQ on Mechanic Street? Not that their food fits my South Beach Diet, but the pulled pork was to die for!

Did they move? Just change the name of the place?

I thought I saw a story in the paper that they were looking to obtain a liquor license…

  1. I just called their number and they have changed owners. They will reopen with a new menu on August 2, according to the answering machine. They will still have BBQ, but will be adding Italian pizza and subs: http://www.mojosbbq.com/

  2. I just noticed that today on my way home from work, was disappointed to see the sign of yet another pizza place there

  3. I’m actually not all that sorry to see it go. We ordered there one night and everything was dry as a bone. I have to admit that pulled pork was the one thing we hadn’t ordered, so we might have liked it. We ordered ribs, chicken and some kind of vegetables. No one finished a single thing and we wound up throwing it all out. I still don’t understand how they could dry out ribs…which are like 99.9% grease! I did see that new pizza place sign yesterday…don’t think I’ll be ordering, though…the family’s new obsession is Tory’s cheese steaks!

  4. Tory’s is a sandwich place right next to the Domino’s on the corner of 117 and 12. They make the most amazing subs known to man — fresh-baked bread, tons of ingredients, all fresh. Hubby loves their steak sandwiches, while I dig on their turkey. They ain’t cheap, but they’re really good. They are affiliated with TL Landis.

  5. Jody I’m surprised you haven’t seen commercials for Tory’s…they were even featured on the Phantom Gourmet as a ‘hidden gem’ or some such thing…

I agree their prices aren’t really cheap, but I think the portions are comparable to what you pay for…
