The Big DumpTruck

Throwing Little Thought Pebbles at Your Windshield Since 1996

Month: November, 2001

Wow, I’m in the company of greatness! Rupaul keeps a weblog. He’s an attractive man, actually. There’s a nice picture of him AS a man on the page. But I could never be interested in a man who looks better than me when dressed as a woman. And according to his Blog, God wants him to dress in drag.

Another lovely day in Massachusetts. I’m in a good mood, I think because the end of the month is near. I did have to have a talk with Mr. Dump last night about how I don’t want to go back to my pre-November not-writing-anything-at-all state, but I also won’t be in that “I can’t do anything or talk to anyone because I have to write” frenzy. It’s really important to me that I keep writing – probably because it’s taken me 36 years to get this much done in “one sitting.” I just hope that even without a deadline looming, I’ll keep working, maybe on something new, letting this one fester in a drawer like Stephen King recommends, until it’s aged enough for me to edit. I’m to close to it right now. But I don’t want to have to wait until NEXT November to write something else.

Oh, and I’m up to 45621 this morning.

45376! I hit the low-end goal of the day. Now I have three days to write just under 5000 words! Heck, I write more than 5000 words worth of emails a day! (This is me pep-talking myself.)

And in case you were wondering, A Charlie Brown Christmas is on Dec 6th this year. But why don’t you just go out and buy the video so you don’t have to sweat it?

I have, uh, 43726 right now. The goal for tonight is 46,000 but I’ll settle for 45,000. Or 50,000 so I can stop worrying about it!

Are we back up now? Just testing. Blogger was having problems.

Can someone please tell me when important things happen? Somehow I missed the notice that Fox Family was becoming ABC Family. Cripes, I got nervous for a minute there that my December wouldn’t be filled with wall-to-wall holiday shows. This year, I saw that they will be showing “Pinocchio’s Christmas.” Yee haw!

Okay, maybe I should log off the Internet (yes, I still use a lousy dial-up at home, and I get CRAP for a connect speed. Rat bastard phone company won’t set up this neighborhood for DSL. Grrrr.) to get some writing done.

Gosh, what will I talk about when the novel is done. Will people still care enough to visit every day? I hope so. Here is the link of the day. Did any of you know that Angela “Penny Robinson” Cartwright was a photographer? I like some of her stuff, too. Anyone want to buy me a picture of a barn?

I lit the string of Xmas lights in my cubicle, and I’m listening to my Crackling Fire CD.

And it’s 66 degrees outside.

Hello world! Okay, my boss is finally back after being out on disability for like a zillion weeks, and I’m just so happy she’s back! No, really. I actually *like* my boss! Can you imagine?

So I finally combined up all my files this morning, and while the page count remains at 119 pages, I seem to have lost 200 or so words along the way, so the new total is 41802. But I’ll be blowing past that today anyway. ONWARD!

42021! God Bless America! I’m back on target baby! I made serious tracks today!

Okay, I’m going to bed. We’ll rock and roll in the morning.
